5.12.4.1. Assignment of classes and features

This chapter would like to assist you in classifying projects.

Classification can be done for different catalog types:

Standard and supplier catalogs
Catalogs created by PLMsynchro
Detailed information on PLM Synchro can be found under Section 1.2, “ PLM Synchro - Create your own parts catalogs” in PARTwarehouse.
Quick&Simple catalogs
See Section 5.13, “Create catalogs - Quick & Simple ”.

A number of functionalities simplify the procedure.
Classifications can be carried out at project level and at directory level. Additional functionalities are available at directory level.
After changes have been made, either via PARTproject -> Update index button button or via PARTadmin -> Index management [Index administration] to update the display index so that the new assignments are displayed in the PARTdataManager are displayed. See Section 5.12.4.2, “ Index update ”.

Note
The update must be carried out both for the affected projects and for the classification!
Own parts can also be classified in the PARTdataManager classified. See below.
Class and attribute information of the CNS classification is transferred to the interface (CAD) when exporting.
