1.7.3.2.1.3. Settings on directory level

Settings for subdirectories (without specified projects) is also possible.

Example: Settings on directory level: ALLOW_OLD=0 + INFOTEXT

Once a project within the given path is opened, the respective message is displayed.

Dialog box "Detached part [Discontinued part]. Display text is standard from ALLOW_OLD=0 + INFOTEXT

In this way the administration or standardization department can block the use of certain projects.

The display text consists of the standard text "Product has been discontinued. Please do not use for new designs. [Product discontinued. Please do not use for new projects.] " + optional INFOTEXT.

Settings

As section name, insert the complete path, beginning with the catalog, down to the desired directory.

Example:

ALLOW_OLD = (Value range 0 or 1)
- 0: All parts within the set path are displayed with the icon (if under TREEICONS the value '1' is set [see Section 1.7.3.2.1.1, “General settings”]).
  When trying to open the part, the following message appears:
  Product has expired. Please do not use for new constructions. [Product discontinued. Please do not use for new projects.]
- 1: When opening the part the following message is displayed:
  Product to be discontinued. Please do not use for new projects.
EXPORT_OLD = (value range 0 or 1)
- 0: When clicking the export button, the following message is displayed:
  This part is considered replaced and may no longer be exported by you [This part is said to be obsolete and may not exported by you].
- 1: Part may be exported.
  No message is shown.

CREATENR_OLD = (value range 0 or 1)

If set to 0, then clicking on the Record button for Add link database [Add dataset to link database] / an error message is thrown.

PARTdataManager: No data record may be created for this expired standard [Adding a dataset is not allowed for this expired norm.].

Note

To use this function, the script replace_mm.vbsmust be activated in erpcustom.cfg -> Block [ADDTODB].

If the corresponding entry is missing, please create it yourself:

$CADENAS_SETUP/scripts/erp/replace_mm.vbb

INFOTEXT: In addition to the standard message, the text that you have entered under INFOTEXT appears. See Fig. „Dialog box "Detached part [Discontinued part]. Display text is standard from ALLOW_OLD=0 + INFOTEXT“.
