Sweeps can be created using sketches on two or more levels (it is also possible to create a sketch in the 3D view using Create new sketch on selected area [Generate sketch on selected face] ).

Note Sketches must not be positioned at more than 90° to each other. [Sketches must not be more than 90° apart.] Otherwise the corresponding message appears: Example: In this example, the second sketch would have to be rotated by 180° around the X-axis.

The sweep is created after marking two sketches using the context menu command Create basic sweep [Create sweep base] or Create section sweep [Create sweep cut].

Sweeps can be created from a combination of a cross-section sketch and a progression curve using the Create basic progression [Create sweep base] command.
