[Note]Note

Prerequisite:

All electrical contacts must be equipped with a connection point [Connection point].

For components that have already been classified by the manufacturer according to ECLASS, the information can be mapped to the CNS classification. Otherwise, the 3D data in PARTsolutions (connection points classified as electrical connections) must be provided with additional information from the data sheet.

CADENAS supports a certain subset of the connection properties ( Electrical Connection class) defined in ECLASS ADVANCED, which can be extended at any time.

The following illustration shows (framed in red) the currently available connection properties (Electrical Connection = CNS_CP|4|3 ) called up under PARTproject -> Extras menu -> Class systems: Edit. [Class systems: edit...].

Class system CNS -> Filter connection points [Connection points] -> Insertion Point -> Electrical -> Electrical Connection

Class system CNS -> Filter connection points [Connection points] -> Insertion Point -> Electrical -> Electrical Connection

The following figure shows the currently available connection properties (Electrical Connection = CNS_CP|4|3 ) called up under PARTproject -> Edit project -> General tab -> Characteristics (CNS)

Characteristics (CNS) -> Class CNS_CP|4|3 (Electrical Connection)
