3.1.6.4.12.3.
Topology search - Settings in detail
Search for
greatest, middle and smallest
dimension of a part.
Or search for
the dimension in the direction of X-, Y and Zaxis.
3.1.6.4.12.3.2.
Area/Volume
With this
function you can search for a part's surface and volume.
With this
function you can search for symmetries: Once for the type and in the list
field with the possibility of differentiation according to "symmetric",
"nearly symmetric" and "not symmetric".
Axis Symmetry
Example:
Rotation symmetry
Example:
Plane Symmetry
Example:
Material Thickness
With this
function you can search for material thickness. This function makes sense
when searching for semi-finished products, for example.
With this
function you can search for inner or outer cylinders or half cylinder,
quarter cylinders or broadly speaking sections of cylinders.
Amount: Amount of cylinders in the
searched part
Diameter / Length:
Orientation:
Sweep
angle defines the rotation around the cylinder's main axis
(in direction of length), which spans the cylinder surface. With this
you can search for cylindrical sections, e.g. full cylinder (angle =
360°), half cylinder (angle = 180°), quarter cylinder (angle =
90°).
With this
function you can search for inner and outer cones. In the following you
see the single parameters with the help of two little examples:
Outer
cone
Inner
cone
Sweep
angle defines the rotation around the cone's main axis (in
direction of length), which spans the cone's surface. With this you
can search for sections of cones, e.g. full cone (angle = 360°), half
cone (angle = 180°), quarter cone (angle = 90°).
With this
function you can search for internal and external tori.
Amount: You can search for a certain number
of tori (with or without distinction of internal or external tori; see
next point)
Orientation: Internal
Orientation: External
Minor Diameter: Under Topology information, displayed as
parameter D1 (both at
Torus External and
Torus Internal
[compare figures above])
Major Diameter: Under Topology information, displayed as
parameter D2 (both at
Torus External and
Torus Internal
[compare figures above])
With this you can
search for spheres or sections of spheres such as semi-spheres or rounded
edges, for example.
With this
function you can search for holes. Amount, dimension and type can be
specified.
3.1.6.4.12.3.10.
Rectangular Slot
With this
function you can search for rectangular slots.
3.1.6.4.12.3.11.
Slotted Hole
With this
function you can search for slotted holes.
3.1.6.4.12.3.12.
Curved Slot
With this function
you can search for curved slots.
Amount: The curved slots can appear at any
position and don't have to form a pattern. If the curved slots are
arranged as pattern, you can also search with the Curved Slot Pattern function.
Angle: The angle is calculated from the
slot's circular arc segment without the slot's rounding at the beginning
and end.
Width: Width of a curved slot
Diameter: Distance from the middle of the
width of a curved slot to the center of the circle times 2
Depth: Depth of a curved slot
3.1.6.4.12.3.13.
Linear Hole Pattern
With this
function you can search for linear hole patterns.
Amount: Amount of patterns in the
searched part
Amount Width / Amount Height: Number of pattern
elements in width and height
Distance X / Distance Y:
Distance between two pattern
elements in direction of X and Y axis
Arrangement

Linear Slot Pattern
With this
function you can search for linear slot patterns.
Amount: Amount of patterns
in the searched part
Amount Width / Amount Height: Number of pattern
elements in width and height
Distance X / Distance Y:
Distance between two pattern
elements in direction of X and Y axis

Linear Rectangular Slot Pattern
With this
function you can search for linear rectangular slot patterns.
Amount: Amount of patterns
in the searched part
Amount Width / Amount Height: Amount of pattern
elements in width and height

Circular Hole
Pattern
With this
function you can search for circular hole patterns.
Amount: Amount of patterns
in the searched part
Diameter
Angle:
Angle
between two adjacent pattern elements (in the above example 45°, which
results in 8 positions in a complete pattern)

Curved Slot Pattern
With this function
you can search for curved slot patterns.
Amount: Amount of patterns in
the searched part
Angle: Angle between adjacent pattern
elements (in following figure 30°), for a complete pattern this results
in 12 positions)
Curved
