2.7.3.5.1. Select a result category

Purpose

In the Clustering workspace, select the hierarchy branch that is relevant to the current analysis and review its loaded leaf clusters.

Requirements

Procedure

The dashboard navigation remains available while you are working in Clustering . The “Clustering” entry shows the active application area. In the results view, the hierarchy tree determines the current area. When you select a node, its leaf clusters are loaded as cards in the center, and under “Overview,” the metrics for that branch appear. Expanding and collapsing the tree only changes the visible depth of the tree.

The dashboard menu [1] remains visible next to the hierarchy tree, result cards, and "Overview."

Using “Jump to tree” in a card’s action menu takes you to its position in the tree. For large branches, use the scroll bar in the results area to reach “Load next” [1] at the end of the current card list. This loads the next set of leaf clusters without changing the current selection in the tree.

At the end of the current list, the scroll bar in the results area and "Load next" [1] indicate that more clusters are available.

Continue past the loading indicator at the end of the expanded map list. The scroll bar displays the larger set of results, and “Load next” remains available as long as additional sheet clusters can be loaded.

The last cards on the expanded list [1] differ from those at the end of the original list; the "Load next" button [2] below remains available for additional pages.

Options and Decisions in Operations

Results Area – Selection in the tree and controls for scrolling

Control element or State

Operating Instructions

"Clustering"

Dashboard navigation entry for the clustering workspace. Remains available throughout the entire results view.

"Back"

Return to the clustering overview .

Cluster Tree

Select the name of a node to bring its subtree into focus. Expanding and collapsing nodes changes the navigation depth, not the clustering data.

"Jump to tree"

Available in the action menu of a cluster map . Jumps to the corresponding leaf in the tree and refreshes the map area.

Scroll bar of the results area

Scroll through the loaded map list in the middle. The slider gets shorter as the loaded list grows.

"Load next"

Appears at the end of the map list if the selected area contains more map clusters than are loaded. Loads additional maps and maintains the selected path.

Selection in "Overview"

Appears when the root node is not selected, and lists the selected branch along with its number of clusters and segments.

Result

The selected hierarchy branch is displayed by the cards in the center and the metrics under "Overview"; for large branches, additional leaf clusters can be loaded page by page.
