5.8.2.1.12.5.  TestMeta run

Once having clicked OK in the dialog QA Check Settings, the chosen test criteria will be used and the test run will be started.

[Note]Note

The test run for extensive directories may possibly take several hours, so it is advisable to run the test either overnight or on a separate computer.

When using the function Abbreviate, you have the option to cancel, but in contrary to the function Cancel not to lose already found results. For details see below.

When starting the TestMeta run, a) the selected directory/project is blocked and shown grayed out (deactivated). However, you may work on other projects in the meantime.

And b) the docking window QA-Check is opened.

With the options of the "Mode" list field you can filter results during the run or just as well after finished run.

The following options are available:

Cancel Test

Canceling of Testmeta without regard of its current state. No results are transferred to PARTproject. The old state remains as it is.

Abbreviate Test

When clicking on the button Abbreviate the following message appears:

The current step is canceled and then already completed segments are continued!

Projects are tested in the segments Project tests (e.g. "Check file names", "Check images"), Tables tests, Value range tests (e.g. "Check short name", "Check order number") and Catalogue tests: (e.g. Check short name for duplicates).

Abbreviate can be used multiple times.

Close dialog

In order to start a new TestMeta run, the QA-Check docking window needs to be closed. Click on Close.
