When calling the context menu outside the part other commands will appear as if you called the menu on the part itself.
With the command Face attributes... you can assign attributes to individual faces of the part. This command is only available for part, not for assemblies.
When clicking on Face attributes, the docking window Tool is opened, where faces can be edited. Details on this can be found in the following.
When clicking on the command, the dialog Face filter is opened.
Under Color of face, select a color. -> Under Found faces the number of found faces is displayed.
