In the following the characteristics / modeling rules will be described for each of target system:
All component connections should be provided with the nozzle classification.
This information (e.g. connection type, connection standard, nominal diameter, pressure, type of medium, etc.) will be transferred to the target system - and is also required there.
Whenever possible prefer "base" features and avoid "cut" features in the modeling.
It is important to differ between static (equipment-) and parametric (in-line-) components.
In-line components must be created with regular bodies (CADENAS can provide the example catalog „plant_design_test“). Examples of typical in-line parts: armatures, pipe fittings, measure instruments, etc. – multiple used parts within e.g. a pipeline.
For equipment this is not required – they can be modeled “normally”.
Examples of typical equipment parts: Engines, tanks, control cabinets, etc. – often equipment parts are used only once in the whole construction.
For parts with free value ranges a parametric realisation should be preferred. On the contrary for parts with less variants and complex geometry a static approach is better.
All component connections should be equipped with the "Nozzle classification", just as with AVEVA MARINE 3D (see above).
