The call up of the "Template configuration" dialog happens via:
Name: When
clicking on the function Save as catalog template 
, this name is used. [114]
Visible name: Name, how it is displayed at the datasheet export in PARTdataManager as template name. If Visible name has not been determined, the entry under Name is used.
Background PDF: You can load a Background PDF - if needed.
However, once a template is updated to the current format, the Background PDF should also be replaced by respective images.
Also compare "Import".
Coordinates compatibility mode:
When editing in PARTtemplateDesigner, values are in mm. Then the values are converted in PDF coordinates in the template.
Up to < V11 SP10 values were read as integer, which led to differences in the range from 0.1 to 0.6 mm (what is not really striking when printing).
As of V11 SP10 the calculation is made with floating-point number (meaning higher accuracy).
In order for old datasheets not to be affected by this change, there is a new option Coordinates compatibility mode now.
Compatibility mode on: When opening (or exporting) an old template, the compatibility mode is on, so that integer values are used further on. Thus old datasheets are not affected, unless the compatibility mode is switched off intentionally.
Compatibility mode off: When creating a new template, the compatibility mode is switched off by default and so the calculation is made with floating-point numbers.
Changing the test project makes possibly sense, in order to check the depiction at different projects (different number of table lines or technical views).
Certain functions are only available in PARTproject and not in the Media editor:
Inheritance of project settings to the whole catalog. See Section 5.9.18.3, “Copy (inherit) templates and variable data ”.
The translation can be done in PARTproject or in the Media Editor (see Section 5.9.18.2, “Translate Media Variables ”).
Edit media variables (and create):
By clicking on the button, the dialog box Media editor opens.
The Media editor includes functionality for the creation and editing of Media Variables. In PARTproject there is the same possibility. Advantage in the Media editor: Manageable user interface and you can work faster. However, the settings made here only refer to the test project and have to be transmitted to the catalog root element in PARTproject finally (see Section 5.9.18.3, “Copy (inherit) templates and variable data ”).
Translations of Media Variables can both be done in the Media editor and in PARTproject (see ???).
