5.8.2.2.6.  Rename project
  1. Select the desired project file and click on the context menu command Rename project.

→ The dialog window of the same name opens.

  2. Enter the desired name under New name.

If the projects are not part of an assembly, deactivate the option Adjust references in assemblies [Adapt links in assemblies] (if set).

    [Caution]Caution
    • If you rename projects in an assembly, be sure to activate the option Adapt references in assemblies [Adapt links in assemblies] and enter the correct assembly path in the input field, otherwise the assembly can no longer be loaded without errors and you will have to enter all reference paths again manually. See Section 5.8.2.2.8, “Correct incorrect project assembly paths manually ”.

    • Please note that when renaming the project, all paths that refer to the project lose their reference and must be adjusted manually (e.g. EOL, accessories ...). [Please note that when renaming the project, all paths that point to the project lose their reference and must be adjusted manually (e.B. EOL, accessories ...)]

  3. Confirm with OK.

→ The project file is renamed.

→ All sub-files, such as *.3db-, *.tab-, *.tac-, etc. are renamed at the same time as the project name. This ensures that project-internal assignments are maintained.
