2.2. Operating system requirements

Proper operation of the software within WINDOWS is only guaranteed in conjunction with the system requirements listed below. Installations on other systems are possible with restrictions, but are not supported.

Which systems are suitable?

For client operation of the software, e.g. PARTdataManager
- Windows 10
  [Support for Windows 10 will be discontinued by Microsoft on October 14, 2025].
  
  Note
  Please note the CAD-specific system requirements. Support is provided if the corresponding CAD interface also supports Windows 10/11.
- Windows 11
The following systems are suitable for server operation of the software, e.g. server of the client-server installation, PARTapplicationServer, license manager:
- Windows Server >= 2016 (corresponds with Windows 10)
  [Support for Windows Server 2016 will be discontinued by Microsoft on January 12, 2027].
  
  Note
  Please note the CAD-specific system requirements. Support is provided if the corresponding CAD interface also supports Win10.
- Windows Server 2022(corresponds with Windows 11)
  [Support for Windows Server 2022 will be discontinued by Microsoft on October 14, 2031].
  
  Note
  Please note the CAD-specific system requirements. Support is provided if the corresponding CAD interface also supports Win11.
