5.2. Function

In PARTproject all information required for the display and selection of components and assemblies in PARTdataManager are required.

Geometry, attribute table, dimensioning images and additional information together compose a project with project file *.prj.

Below the *.prj file (this will be opened later in the PARTdataManager ) are the individual files that make up the project.

*.3db (3gb) - Geometry (see Section 5.2.1, “Call from PARTdesigner ”)
*.tab / tac - Characteristic attribute table (see Section 5.2.1, “Call from PARTdesigner ”)
*.pra, *.png, (*.bmp) - Preview images (see Section 5.11.2, “ Create and import/convert dimensioning views externally ”)
*.pdf, *doc, etc. - Additional information
*.def - Translations (see Section 5.8.2.1.14, “ Translation ”)
*.dim - Dimensionings (see Section 7.16, “ Docking window "Dimensions " ”)
