5.12.13.6.4. Check port attributes

The following describes how you can check the port attributes of a part exported from 3Dfindit to NX.

[Note]Note

The attributes which can be viewed here are filled via CNS Piping Classification.

  1. In an opened assembly, perform a double-click on the desired part. (There is only access to attributes for single parts.)

  2. Under More, click on Qualify Part.

  3. Under Routing Object, open the item Ports -> Fittings.

    Now you can see that the part has 3 fittings.

  4. For example, select PIPE1.

  5. Click on Object Characteristics in the context menu of PIPE1.

    -> Respective dialog is opened.

    Here you can see, among other things, the attributes transferred by 3Dfindit.

    • NPS: Pipe diameter

    • ENGAGEMENT: Overlapping of connected parts (e.g. screw depth.)

      The realisation is based on ports which are set a little bit inwards.
